Bilingual International Assistant Services
Today, we buried our friend and colleague, Victoria, who put up a tenacious fight against cancer for 13 years. She found time during that fight to work with our agency on three different occasions, most prominently in her role coordinating interpretation and translation services. Victoria, like our agency's founder, was (among many other things) an outspoken Russian-speaking Jewish refugee from the former Soviet Union, which is to say that she fit in perfectly with us. And she succeeded our agency's founder as the Missouri delegate to the national Refugee Congress, advocating for the rights and dignity of refugees in the United States. She was a joy to work with - her too-loud laugh ringing in the halls when she wasn't too busy overseeing language services for staff and clients. She leaves behind friends at the agency, who miss her and are grateful for her presence in our lives.www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/st-louis-mo/victoria-barmak-11076761 ... See MoreSee Less
