  • Mental Health Services – Our licensed professional therapists, many of them multilingual, bring many years of culturally competent experience in working with the unique stress and trauma symptomology of immigrant and refugee participants.  
    • Comprehensive Services to Survivors of Torture and War Trauma (includes therapy, legal assistance, clinical case management, psychiatry, et al)
    • Comprehensive Services to New Americans in St. Louis City
    • In-school Trauma-Focused Counseling for Immigrant and Refugee Children
    • Mental Health and Wellness programming to individuals with co-morbid conditions in St. Louis City
    • Insurance-based counseling services (coming soon!) 
  • Social Services – Our multilingual community access workers are trained to offer culturally specific and language appropriate services aimed at improving the quality of life for underserved communities in our area.
    • Care coordination, case management, and benefits assistance for area seniors
    • Medicare benefits counseling and fraud prevention
    • Case management for caregivers of older adults or persons with disability
    • Health insurance referral by trained Affordable Care Act Navigators
    • Linkage to personal care, home care, and respite care for seniors and adults with disability
  • Macklind International Senior Center is Missouri’s first dedicated multicultural senior center, offering transportation, culturally appropriate nutritious meals, and supportive language and educational services to seniors from five distinct groups – Chinese, Albanian, Bosnian, Bhutanese Nepali, and Vietnamese. Seniors enjoy socialization, quarterly outings, and accessible education on health, medical care, and social services.  (New groups forming soon!) 
  • Immigration and Naturalization Services – Bilingual International Assistant Services is a Department of Justice accredited agency able to offer naturalization services and represent clients before USCIS.  The agency currently has two full-time DOJ representatives on staff.
    • Naturalization Services to Elderly Legal Immigrants and Elderly Refugees – comprehensive naturalization assistance to seniors over 60 with minimally 5 years of Missouri residency, who have not been able to benefit from classroom instruction.  Includes a team approach to client success including one-on-one customized tutoring, filing support, case management (including work with physicians as needed), legal assistance, representation at USCIS, interpretation as necessary, and Medicare counseling.
    • Fee-based assistance available for simple filings on a limited basis (contact us for more details).
  • Language Services – Established, trusted interpretation and translations services from a pool of contracted professional interpreters representing over 50 commonly used languages with area immigrants and refugees
    • Interpretation (verbal) both telephonic and in-person
    • Translation (written) includes certified translations as well as AV transcription services
  • Advocacy and Education– As content experts in the area of culturally competent service provision, Bilingual International provides speakers and trainings to a wide variety of local agencies and businesses.  Contact us for more information or speaker availability. Topics include:
