Over the last two weeks, Bilingual International has had the honor of providing interpretation and cross-cultural training to a cultural exchange project involving Pride St.Louis and Avers-Samara (Russia).  A delegation of activists from our Russian sister city of Samara visited St. Louis to learn from and engage with the local LGBTQIA community. The goal of the project is to develop relationships, exchange ideas, and deepen the knowledge and understanding of international human rights issues in US and Russia. On February 6, 2018, Bilingual International staff accompanied the delegation to a meeting with St. Louis Mayor Lyda Crewson where the participants received a Proclamation honoring cooperation in the field of human rights between the two sister cities.

Bilingual International will also be providing cross-cultural training for the American cohort before they embark on their trip to Samara, Russia in May 2018.

Our organization continues to support international human rights activism and equality of all peoples before the law. If you are interested in learning more, please check out our annual report.
